Festive Wedding Tips

Have all of the festivities made you yearn for a winter or Christmas inspired wedding? Here are some tips for how you can incorporate a little bit of festive cheer and merriment into your big day...

Festive Wedding Colours - think deep plums, reds, burgundy, forest green and frosted whites

Woodland Christmas Theme - decorate branches with fake snow, decorate with woodland animal figures, use holly and pine cones as decoration

Christmas Bouquet & Decor - think of all your favourite festive colours and add them in floral form to your day. Maybe even add some mistletoe for a bit of extra romance

Festive Food - mince pies, candy canes, Christmas pudding, ginger bread, stollen bites and anything remotely flavoured with cranberry, oranges and spices

Winter Inspired invites - a great DIY is to use old Christmas cards to cut out and create individual invites for each guest

Carols - why not use Christmas carols as part of your wedding service if you’re thinking of adding in some hymns? Or if not a song, maybe a reading from your favourite Christmas extract

Xmas themed photo booth - everyone loves a Photo Booth so add in loads of festive props. You can buy them online or from the pound shop or just get the paper cut out ones

Stocking gifts - giving gifts to your bridal party or family members on the big day? Instead of gift bags, use stockings for the added Christmassy touch

Table names after festive things - think the names of Santa’s Reindeer, biblical nativity names, names of carols or even your favourite parts of the Christmas dinner!

Crackers as table settings - what better way to welcome guests to the table than with personalised named crackers. You can DIY these yourself or by plain coloured ones and get fancy with calligraphy

Have Mulled Wine as welcome drink - spice up the welcoming drink with a real winter warmer and have a hot non-alcoholic punch on hand for non-drinkers
