Creating The Perfect Christmas Wedding



With Christmas just around the corner you might be thinking about putting an element of Christmas into your wedding, whether that’s in 2022, 2023 or beyond. There’s something in the air during the festive season and if done well, a Christmas themed wedding can be amazing.

Here are 22 ideas of how you can create a festive feel to your day.


1. Find a winter wedding venue

Find the perfect winter wedding venue for the style of your day. Remember that it will be cold, so if you’re thinking if something more outdoorsy such as a barn, you might want to invest in some heating.


2. Theme your wedding invitations Add a sprinkle of magic to your invites and stationery so that your guests know that there’s some festive fun during your celebrations.


3. Have festive hymns/songs/carols If you’re having your wedding in a church, why not opt for some traditional carols or Christmas hymns for the singing?


4. Seasonal flowers Choose flowers for bouquets and your wedding venue in the colours or Christmas and what’s available during this season. Think poinsettias, mistletoe, holly and lots of deep reds and foliage.



5. Metallic theme Silver, gold, bronze, copper – let the metallics do the talking.


6. Santa for the kids If you’ve got little ones at your day, why not include a little visit from the main man himself?


7. Reindeer Do you like animals? If so, why not get some elves and reindeer to show up on your day?


8. Wrapped up wedding favours Make your wedding favours a surprise by wrapping them up like you would gifts under a tree. You can use festive wrapping paper too or use brown paper and twine with a sprig of holly.

11. A photo wreath Have a festive take on a photo booth and hang an extra-large wreath up so people can stand behind it and have a photo taken for the perfect festive frame.

So why not have a large gingerbread house and let all your guests decorate it throughout the day. Take some time looking at it when it’s all done and have some awesome photos with it, before dismantling it and serving it at your evening do.

22. Wedding Cheese Cake for the evening Cheese and crackers if a pretty big Christmas day staple in my house, so why not have this as your evening do feast? Get an amazing cheese cake made with all your favourite cheeses and buy loads of crackers for the easiest buffet ever.
